Camping i Melograni

Wonderful camping site,with several types of accomodation.Bungalows,large tents and spaces for campers and small tents. Clean and spacious enough with air-cons in most of bungalows,your own kitchen with all utensils and dishes, with beddings provided included in the price. Nice large swimming pool, cafe and mini restaurant, mini shop(mart) football field and many other things to do. Animation programs during the day and in the evening for kids. Second year that we are coming here. Staff very welcoming and polite.

The area is full of free beaches, which are obviously very crowded in August. Few services on the beach. The "Tomboli di Cecina" pine forest (15 km from Marina di Bibbona in Cecina) is very clean and frequented by athletes from the early hours of the morning, which makes it a very safe and quiet place. The campsite is very clean and the staff is friendly and professional (we had a couple of problems quickly resolved). The mini market (the lady is very kind) doesn't have many products but you can find what you need. The only flaw: the animation. The kids didn't even say hello! They rarely saw each other around the campsite to get to know the kids and then they weren't very engaging even during the evenings they organized themselves! In fact, I give the service 2 stars because of the entertainment.

In my view of camping, this is more of a campsite than a real campsite, mostly caravan tents and fixed houses and a few pitches for campers and tents. However, the campsite is clean and has services such as a minimarket, bar, swimming pool and a basketball court. The pitches are infested with ants, Payments are made in advance, but if, as in my case, I had to leave three days early due to health problems, no refund or perhaps a partial voucher for the restaurant. Painful animation. Who knows when campsites will return to being campsites and not horizontal hotels. Finally, the other campsites in the area seemed essentially the same to me, suitable for those who want to "camp" for two or three weeks and not for those who love camping and want to stop for a few days to move on to the next stage.
